1st payment is due prior to delivery and covers 3 months rental. Ongoing monthly rental payments will then begin 1 month from the date of delivery and then monthly thereafter. If preferable payments can be done 4 weekly rather than calendar monthly.

All long term rental costs are plus delivery & collection.

(Contract is for a minimum of 6 months with 1 months’ notice of cancellation required to end the long term rental).

Lightweight Folding Wheelchair Powerpack: Revolutionary lightweight, foldable pushing aid for manual wheelchairs

The Sunrise Empulse R20 lightweight folding powerpack is a foldable push device for manual wheelchairs making it even easier to move forward, whether that be uphill, downhill or longer distances. The R20 also supports the attendant pushing the wheelchair in lots of everyday situations where they may have previously struggled.

Not only is the R20 power pack the only foldable option on the market, attached to or separated from the wheelchair, it is also extremely lightweight. At only 3kg and complete with a handy back pack it makes this an incredibly practical and easy choice when wanting something for transportation.

Powered by a 1.5kg powerful 5.8Ah lithium ion battery the R20 offers the user a range of up to 15km* and a recharging time of 4.5-5hrs.

Lightweight Folding Wheelchair Powerpack: Integrated freewheel allowing a self-drive option for ease of use

Another advantage of the Empulse R20 is that it still allows the person sitting in the wheelchair to have a self-drive option on self-propelling wheelchairs. Thanks to the integrated freewheel you can drive the wheelchair without having to remove the pushing aid; you simply lift the drive wheel off the ground with the hook provided.

Ideal for users up to a maximum weight of 170kg (26.7st). Perfect for hill climbs, inclines and any situation that may require extra power.

Compatible with a huge range of manual wheelchairs

This wheelchair powerpack offers high compatibility when combined with most manual wheelchairs. It is easy to fit to any wheelchair, provided it has a box frame and a tube diameter of 2.2cm-2.8cm then the R20 can be fitted and used. Once the docking pins have been fitted to the wheelchair you can then click fix the R20 on to your wheelchair quickly and simply, without the need for tools.

It also offers low impact to the weight of the wheelchair as only the small docking pins remain on the wheelchair. It is ideal for tilt in space & reclining wheelchairs as it does not impact or get in the way of the tilt or recline functions.

Easy to use controls, powerful motor and maintenance free

The empulse R20 offers ease of use with its one button on/off controls and light up display to show the battery capacity remaining and the speed range setting. The control unit is also adjustable so that you can find a position that is comfortable, visible and easily accessible.

The single motorised wheel has a solid, robust, long lasting tyre and runs from a powerful 250w brushless motor making it maintenance free.

Engineer Delivery

When you rent from us, we take payment on a weekly or monthly basis depending on how long you require the equipment for.  Payments will be taken from the debit or credit card you used at the point of booking until you arrange collection. If you would like to change the card at any time please give the team a call on 0800 111 6234.  Our delivery procedure is detailed below.

Our Delivery Procedure

Each of our hire products come with a choice of delivery and collection options to suit you.  We provide same day delivery, next day delivery and even weekend deliveries.  The office will ring you the day before to confirm your estimated delivery time.

Your item or items will arrive with one of our trained delivery drivers who will set up your equipment for you and show you how it works.

You can then use your equipment for as long as you require.

Once the time comes for you to return the rental equipment to us:

  • A driver will arrive to collect the equipment from you and return it to us.

Ending Your Rental

You can end your rental at any time by contacting a member of our team by telephone or filling in our contact us form.  The hire will conclude 2 working days following notice to allow time for collection.  Our office will ring you to confirm the collection time the day before collection.

If you would like the rental equipment collected from a different address to the delivery address this is not a problem. You can select your different collection address when booking online or you can give our team a call who will be happy to take the different collection address from you.

If your item(s) is dispatched with one of our Mobility Hire drivers, our drivers will deliver the equipment and set it up where possible.  This is usually the case with larger pieces of hire equipment.

Collecting In-Store

If you decide to collect your equipment from our store, you will need to phone the office to book a collection slot which is quick, easy and convenient for you.  Please note:  if you decide to collect from our showroom, you will need to bring two forms of I.D from the following list:

Passport

Driving Licence

A letter from the Department of Work and Pensions  

Utility Bills

Bank Statements

Important information

We are very happy to provide you with product information and specifications over the telephone or via email but unfortunately, we are unable to make any product recommendations for you. This is because we do not know your individual circumstances or your health requirements.

Wheelchairs are sent next day using an independent courier, orders placed before noon should be with you the following working day. Please read our terms of delivery and collection, placing an order confirms you have read and accept these delivery terms and conditions. Please note that at the end of the short term hire, the hire will only conclude 2 working days following notice, allowing us time to collect.

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST KEEP THE EQUIPMENT CLEAN OR COSTS FOR CLEANING WILL BE CHARGED

Do I need to pay a deposit? Look at our fully comprehensive insurance or deposit policy

NB. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the hired product will fit through all access doorways and entrance points, to be able to complete a successful delivery or collection. Any re-delivery or re-collection attempts that need to be made in the case where a hired product does not fit through doorways or access points will be chargable to the hirer. Product dimensions and specifications are provided on the website, if you require any additional measurements to ensure successful delivery or collection it is the responsibility of the hirer to contact Mobility Hire and get these measurements.


If a valid VAT Disclaimer is not submitted within 7 days after commencement of the booking, then the VAT will be collected. If a valid VAT Disclaimer is then submitted and a VAT refund authorised, then a £5.00 administration charge will be made to cover time and costs for refunding the VAT


NEW PRODUCT – A NEW product is just that, brand new and you will be the first user.

FLEET PRODUCT – Carefully prepared this product will have been used, but as we have to service, insure, and repair, then you can benefit from a lesser hire cost. Go for fleet and if you are not happy with the product when it arrives, you can change your rental to a NEW one


TRAVELLING ABROAD: Please note if you are taking any of our hire equipment outside of the country, please be aware that while we are here and very happy to provide you with full telephone or email support, we are unable to provide engineer visits or provision of parts until you are back in the UK.
