A paediatric wheelchair also known as a children’s wheelchair is designed to keep up with the pace of young individuals. Smaller than a standard adult’s wheelchair, these are both comfortable and functional. They provide your child with the independence to go wherever they want.
These wheelchairs are versatile and adaptable allowing children freedom. We have a range of self-propelled models, that can also be pushed thanks to the rear handles, to suit most situations.

Why would my child need a Paediatric Wheelchair?
Whether the child has broken a leg, recovering from an injury, going away on holiday or needing something longer term we offer a range of children’s wheelchair to suit most requirements. There is also a range of accessories available for the paediatric wheelchairs such as elevating legrests for when you need to keep your legs up, cushions for improved comfort, rear seat bags and stick holders.
What should I consider when looking at Paediatric Wheelchairs for my child?
An important thing to consider when deciding on a children’s wheelchair is the fit of the wheelchair for the child. It is not only important to make sure the seat width is correct but also the seat depth is correct for the child using the wheelchair. If the seat of the wheelchair is too deep then you risk sores developing at the back of the knees.
Where can my child use their Paediatric Wheelchair?
Our rental paediatric wheelchairs can be hired and used in hospitals, care environments, your own homes, schools and playgrounds. They’re designed for children, to be used by children in their usual environments.
