Lay-Flat Porter chair promotes skin immersion and envelopment

This Lay-Flat Porter Chair is a comfortable and supportive seating option. It is incredibly useful for those who may want to be moved from room to room, without the need to be transferred out of the chair. Its unique design promotes skin immersion and envelopment. This reduces and redistributes any pressure on the skins surface, reducing the risk of developing pressure sores. This is especially useful if sitting or lying down for prolonged periods of time.

Tilt, recline and true lay-flat positioning

This porter chair has tilt and recline features, and when fully reclined it offers a true flat lying position. This is very useful for achieving a bed-like position to help with fatigue. It also provides a relaxed position for the user. This lay-flat position also comes with SmartTilt, it intelligently manages the chairs position and ensures there is no unintentional head down Trendelenburg.

Generous leg lift for management of oedema

The gas operated tilt, recline and leg raiser allows you to change your seating position when using this supportive chair for extended periods of time. The generous 90° leg raiser assists in the management of lower limb oedema.

Integral Care Chair; compatible for side transfers

Our lay-flat porter chair, Integral Care Chair is also compatible for side transfers. This is thanks to the swing-away backrest wings and swing-away armrests. These incredibly useful features make personal care routines and the fitting of slings, for transfers, much easier. These tasks are made simpler for both the carer and the person sitting in the chair.

Creates skin microclimates and evenly redistributes pressure

There is a matrix of air flow chambers within this porter chair, to promote skin microclimates and to evenly redistribute pressure. The higher density outer of the backrest cushion aids and improves lumbar support. While the foam cores are moveable to create a customised position for you. The gentle contouring in the sacral region helps to achieve and maintain a midline posture and optimal positioning.

Important Information

We are very happy to provide you with product information and specifications over the telephone or via email but unfortunately, we are unable to make any product recommendations for you. This is because we do not know your individual circumstances or your health requirements.

When placing an order, this confirms that you have read and accept these delivery terms and conditions. Please note that at the end of the short term hire, the hire will only conclude 2 working days following notice, allowing us time to collect.

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST KEEP THE EQUIPMENT CLEAN OR COSTS FOR CLEANING WILL BE CHARGED

NB. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the hired product will fit through all access doorways and entrance points, to be able to complete a successful delivery or collection. Any re-delivery or re-collection attempts that need to be made in the case where a hired product does not fit through doorways or access points will be chargable to the hirer. Product dimensions and specifications are provided on the website, if you require any additional measurements to ensure successful delivery or collection it is the responsibility of the hirer to contact Mobility Hire and get these measurements.


If a valid VAT Disclaimer is not submitted within 7 days after commencement of the booking, then the VAT will be collected. If a valid VAT Disclaimer is then submitted and a VAT refund authorised, then a £5.00 administration charge will be made to cover time and costs for refunding the VAT


Please note that on the long term rental pricing the first payment is always plus delivery and collection (Please see button ‘Delivery Costs’ above to work out this cost or call the office for a quote).

NEW PRODUCT – A NEW product is just that, brand new and you will be the first user.

FLEET PRODUCT – Carefully prepared this product will have been used, but as we have to service, insure, and repair, then you can benefit from a lesser hire cost. Go for fleet and if you are not happy with the product when it arrives, you can change your rental to a NEW one


TRAVELLING ABROAD: Please note if you are taking any of our hire equipment outside of the country, please be aware that while we are here and very happy to provide you with full telephone or email support, we are unable to provide engineer visits or provision of parts until you are back in the UK.

Engineered Delivery

When you rent from us, we take payment on a weekly or monthly basis depending on how long you require the equipment for.  Payments will be taken from the debit or credit card you used at the point of booking until you arrange collection. If you would like to change the card at any time please give the team a call on 0800 111 6234.  Our delivery procedure is detailed below.  

Our Delivery Procedure

Each of our hire products come with a choice of delivery and collection options to suit you.  We provide same day delivery, next day delivery and even weekend deliveries.  The office will ring you the working day before to confirm your estimated delivery time.

  • Your item or items will arrive with one of our trained delivery drivers who will set up your equipment for you and show you how it works. 
  • You can then use your equipment for as long as you require.
  • Once the time comes for you to return the rental equipment to us give us a call to book this in.
  • One of our drivers will arrive on the pre-arranged day to collect the equipment from you and return it back to us.

Ending Your Rental

You can end your rental at any time by contacting a member of our team by telephone on 0800 111 6234 or filling in our contact us form.  The hire will conclude 2 working days following notice to allow time for collection.  Our office will ring you to confirm the collection time the working day before collection. 

If you would like the rental equipment collected from a different address to the delivery address this is not a problem. You can select your different collection address when booking online or you can give our team a call who will be happy to take the different collection address from you.

Collecting In-Store

If you decide to collect your equipment from our store, you will need to phone the office to book a collection slot which is quick, easy and convenient for you. 
Please note:  if you decide to collect from our showroom, you will need to bring two forms of I.D from the following list:

Passport

Driving Licence

A letter from the Department of Work and Pensions  

Utility Bills

Bank Statements
