Exciting New Mountain Trike Partnership

We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Mountain Trike. This exciting new partnership will see a range of Mountain Trikes brilliant off road all terrain wheelchairs added to our hire fleet.

Mountain Trike are a forward thinking, innovative company that have developed a range of all terrain wheelchairs. These wheelchairs are designed for a wide range of different users who are looking to keep their independence and freedom to explore the great outdoors. They can tackle a variety of challenging terrains that would normally be off limits with other manual wheelchairs.

We currently have 3 fantastic models to choose from for hire:

• Mountain Trike eTrike All Terrain Wheelchair

  – An off road manual wheelchair with powered assist

• Mountain Trike Maunal All Terrain Wheelchair

  – An off road manual wheelchair drive using the unique lever drive system

• Mountain Trike MT Push All Terrain Wheelchair

  – An off road manual wheelchair that is design to be pushed by an attendant

The Manual Mountain Trike is self-propelled using a unique lever drive system. This lever system keeps your hand clean and dry no matter what the weather!

The eTrike has all the features and functions of the manual Mountain Trike but with the added extra of having powered assist. This powered assist it an invaluable extra for those who might need assistance to travel off road or for more active users who want to go further, faster or tackle more adventurous / challenging terrains.

And the MT Push is specifically designed for those can’t propel themselves but still want to get out and have inclusive access to different locations. The attendant adjustable handle at the rear of the wheelchair means you can push, steer and operate the brakes from there.

 

When talking to Mountain Trike about this new partnership, Tim Morgan, Managing Director said,

“Offering short-term hire to our customers has always been an important part of our sales process. It gives customers an opportunity to test ride the Trike in their own setting, building up confidence riding and understanding what outdoor adventures might be possible. As a business it is important that we continue to offer this service, however, we haven’t been able to offer this service on our eTrike products and with a small hire fleet sometimes it isn’t always possible to meet demand.

Partnering with Mobility Hire provides us with an excellent opportunity to outsource our hire scheme through them. They are experts in this arena with a 20 year proven track record I’m confident that customers will receive an excellent, hassle free and flexible service through Mobility Hire.”

Tim goes on to say, “Outsourcing the hire element of the business will also free up the team to focus on our ever-growing sales process and spend less time having to service and arrange delivery /collection of our hire Trikes. We will continue to provide the all-important 1:1 home demos to customers and re-direct them to Mobility Hire if they then wish to test-ride further. The hire scheme will also be available for our distributors many of who don’t have this option due to limited demo models. I’m excited about this opportunity and this is another positive step forward for Mountain Trike.”
