Viola II dynamic air cushion; offering continuous support and pressure relief for patients who want to sit but are at very high risk of pressure sores

The Viola II is a dynamic air cushion that provides continuous support and pressure relief for patients who want to sit in a chair but face a very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. When you combine it with a dynamic alternating air mattress, it can help create a 24-hour pressure relief prevention package. These cushions are ideal for anyone at risk of developing pressure sores or ulcers.

A compact, lightweight power unit featuring clear and simple controls to set up for optimal performance in comfort and pressure relief when sitting

Its compact, lightweight power unit features clear, simple controls, so you can set up and operate the Viola II with ease to suit the individual’s comfort and clinical needs. The manual pressure adjustment lets you set the system up for optimal performance and helps keep the patient comfortable at all times. The alternating cycle also allows the cushion to mould to the patient’s shape, which provides excellent pressure redistribution. In addition, the hanging brackets let you safely attach the power unit to a range of chairs.

A dynamic air cushion with foam base and stretchy, waterproof, vapour permeable cover with integral covered pipe and enclosed zip to maintain high infection control and improve patient comfort

The Viola II has an integral foam base and front support that provide extra support and security for the patient during use. Its stretchy, waterproof, vapour-permeable PU cover, with an integral covered air pipe and enclosed zip, helps maintain high infection control standards while improving patient comfort. It also helps protect skin integrity by reducing shear and friction forces. Call our friendly team on 0800 111 6234 to purchase your dynamic air cushion today.

Condition of products to purchase

Types of Delivery

Two delivery options are available for products purchased from us:

Standard Delivery – Your order will arrive with one of our delivery drivers between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), approximately 5-7 days after the order has been placed. You will be contacted by the office the day before your delivery is due to arrive with confirmation of a time slot.

It is important to note that with this type of delivery it is a “kerbside” delivery which means that the driver will unload your item(s) from the van but will not take the item into the property or set up the item. Some of the items can be very heavy and you may need to arrange assistance with moving and setting up the equipment once it has been delivered.

Our standard delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this may be available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

Engineered Delivery – An engineered delivery includes a fully trained delivery driver delivering your products and will set up/assemble your product along with demonstrating how to use it correctly. Finally, any packaging is taken away so you don’t have to worry about disposal or recycling.

Our engineered delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this maybe available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

Costs

There are two different costs associated with these types of deliveries:

Standard Delivery – Is free on all purchases above £40

Engineered Delivery – This cost is calculated based on the first part of the delivery postcode. By adding your chosen product to the basket at the beginning of the checkout process you will be able to access delivery cost and the delivery options that are available to you. There are set “standard” delivery days depending on your postcode, if these days are not convenient you have the option to select “other” day for delivery this includes same day, next day and weekend options. These are charged at a different rate to the standard delivery days.

Collection

We also offer collection from our premises if you would prefer. Collection is free of charge, but it does need to be arranged with our customer service team beforehand. Collection is available Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm (excluding bank holidays). Call our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 to arrange your collection slot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can this cushion be charged up to be used outdoors or on day trips?

No. The Viola II is a strictly mains-powered system and does not contain an internal rechargeable battery. The pump must remain plugged into a standard 230V wall socket via its 1.3-metre power cord to provide continuous pressure relief. If you require a cushion for regular outdoor wheelchair travel, please browse our range of battery-powered dynamic cushions instead.

What happens if there is a power cut or the cable is accidentally pulled out?

Patient safety is paramount. If the mains power fails or the plug is disconnected, the Viola II instantly triggers an audible and visual power-failure alarm to alert carers immediately, ensuring the user is never left sitting on an un-deflated cushion without warning.

Can this cushion handle incontinence accidents or frequent fluid spills?

Yes, it is fully optimized for strict infection control. The included two-way stretch cover is completely waterproof, vapour-permeable, and features high-frequency welded seams with a concealed zip. This ensures that no bodily fluids or spilled drinks can penetrate the outer layer to damage the internal air cells or foam core. The cover can be wiped down or machine washed up to 95°C.
