Mountain Trike MT Push All Terrain Wheelchair; Inclusive Access

The Mountain Trike MT Push all terrain wheelchair is an exciting new addition to our website. The MT Push is an attendant wheelchair that can be pushed over a wide variety of different terrains. Providing inclusive access to different locations for those who cannot propel themselves.

Push, Steer & Brake From The Push Handle

Unlike some of the other rental Mountain Trike wheelchairs we stock, this one does not feature the unique lever drive system. Instead, there is an adjustable push handle located at the back of the chair so you can push, steer and operate the brakes from there. In place of the drive levers there is a set of adjustable armrests for comfort.

Opening Up The Great Outdoors

The MT Push has been developed to allow you to access the great outdoors without the need to self-propel. The large front wheels coupled with a rugged chassis makes pushing this rental wheelchair a breeze.

Even when you are travelling over a variety of terrains such as wet grass, muddy paths, uneven pavements or sand – it really takes little effort to push.

This off-road wheelchair really does open up outdoor spaces to you, ideal for country walks, city breaks, strolls along the seafront or even a muddy music festival.

The air suspension means you benefit from a smoother and more comfortable ride; even when travelling over rougher terrain or going down kerbs. While its hydraulic disc brakes give you greater control and braking over difficult grounds, steep hills and in different weathers.

Quick Use Guide

Condition of products to purchase

Our products that are available to purchase come in two categories:

New – Product is brand new and never been used.

Fleet – Product has been used but has been serviced and is in good condition. By choosing a Fleet product for your purchase you will benefit from a reduced purchase price.

Types of Delivery

Two delivery options are available for products purchased from us:

Standard Delivery – Your order will arrive with one of our delivery drivers between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), approximately 5-7 days after the order has been placed. You will be contacted by the office the day before your delivery is due to arrive with confirmation of a time slot.

It is important to note that with this type of delivery it is a “kerbside” delivery which means that the driver will unload your item(s) from the van but will not take the item into the property or set up the item. Some of the items can be very heavy and you may need to arrange assistance with moving and setting up the equipment once it has been delivered.

Our standard delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this may be available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

Engineered Delivery – An engineered delivery includes a fully trained delivery driver delivering your products and will set up/assemble your product along with demonstrating how to use it correctly. Finally, any packaging is taken away so you don’t have to worry about disposal or recycling.

Our engineered delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this maybe available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

Costs

There are two different costs associated with these types of deliveries:

Standard Delivery – Is free on all purchases above £40

Engineered Delivery – This cost is calculated based on the first part of the delivery postcode. By adding your chosen product to the basket at the beginning of the checkout process you will be able to access delivery cost and the delivery options that are available to you. There are set “standard” delivery days depending on your postcode, if these days are not convenient you have the option to select “other” day for delivery this includes same day, next day and weekend options. These are charged at a different rate to the standard delivery days.

Collection

We also offer collection from our premises if you would prefer. Collection is free of charge, but it does need to be arranged with our customer service team beforehand. Collection is available Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm (excluding bank holidays). Call our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 to arrange your collection slot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn't the Mountain Trike MT Push have a lever drive system?

The Mountain Trike MT Push replaces the lever drive system found on other Mountain Trike models with an adjustable push handle at the rear, where an attendant controls steering and braking instead of the rider. This design suits riders who cannot self-propel, including those without the upper body strength or hand function that a lever drive chair requires. Adjustable armrests take the place of the drive levers, giving the rider comfortable support rather than a propulsion role. Families, carers and support workers commonly choose this model specifically because it removes the need for the rider to do any of the pushing.

What is the maximum user weight for the Mountain Trike MT Push?

The Mountain Trike MT Push has a maximum user weight of 100 kilograms, or 15 stone 10 pounds, around 220 pounds. Seat length adjusts from 44.7cm to 48.7cm, or roughly 17.6 to 19.2 inches, and back height and footrest height can also be adjusted to fit the rider. This combination of a higher weight limit and adjustable seating makes the chair suitable for most adult and teenage riders. Full measurements for checking fit are listed in the specification table above.

Does the Mountain Trike MT Push have suspension, and what terrain can it handle?

The Mountain Trike MT Push uses Rock Shox Monarch R air suspension paired with SRAM all-weather hydraulic disc brakes mounted on the push handle, giving the attendant control over rough or wet ground. This setup is designed for wet grass, muddy paths, uneven pavements and sand, making it suited to country walks, beaches, city breaks and outdoor events rather than smooth indoor flooring alone. The large 24 inch wheels and aluminium frame add further stability when moving over kerbs or uneven terrain.

What is the difference between New and Fleet condition

A New Mountain Trike MT Push has never been used and comes with a one year warranty, while a Fleet chair has been used, serviced and inspected, and comes with a three month warranty at a reduced purchase price. Customers who have been hiring this chair through Mobility Hire's try before you buy scheme may also qualify for an additional discount when they decide to purchase. Up to two weeks of the rental cost already paid can be refunded once the purchase is completed. Call 0800 111 6234 to check how the process works today.
