Lomond Rotating Adjustable Stand Up Bed; Cost Effective Solution

The Alerta Lomond Rotating-Stand-Up bed is a brilliant cost-effective solution for those who need a height adjustable, profiling bed but with the rotating sit to stand function. The powered clockwise rotation supports you with unassisted transfers from lying bed up to standing. This can provide you with additional independence, safety and freedom to get in and out of bed.

Rotating Adjustable Chair Bed for Purchase

You can independently control the bed’s functions using the handset, which means you can adjust your position step by step. To begin with, you can move from lying down to sitting up in bed. Then, once you are ready, you can rotate round to the right and, finally, stand up from the bed.

In addition, this rotating bed turns only in a clockwise direction, so you can get in and out of the bed specifically from the right-hand side. Moreover, the hand rails are in place to provide extra safety and reassurance, particularly when you are getting in and out of the bed.

Profiling & Height Adjustable Hospital Bed

This adjustable profiling bed has all the functions you would expect from a homecare hospital style bed. It has height adjustability allowing you to raise and lower the bed from 40 cm up to 80cm.

It also has the profiling action to position yourself once in the bed thanks to the adjustable backrest and knee break.  It also features a useful battery backup to ensure you never get stuck in a sitting position in the event of a power cut.

Types of Delivery

Two delivery options are available for products purchased from us:

Standard Delivery – Your order will arrive with one of our delivery drivers between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), approximately 5-7 days after the order has been placed. You will be contacted by the office the day before your delivery is due to arrive with confirmation of a time slot.

It is important to note that with this type of delivery it is a “kerbside” delivery which means that the driver will unload your item(s) from the van but will not take the item into the property or set up the item. Some of the items can be very heavy and you may need to arrange assistance with moving and setting up the equipment once it has been delivered.

Our standard delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this may be available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

Engineered Delivery – An engineered delivery includes a fully trained delivery driver delivering your products and will set up/assemble your product along with demonstrating how to use it correctly. Finally, any packaging is taken away so you don’t have to worry about disposal or recycling.

Our engineered delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this maybe available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

Costs

There are two different costs associated with these types of deliveries:

Standard Delivery – Is free on all purchases above £40

Engineered Delivery – This cost is calculated based on the first part of the delivery postcode. By adding your chosen product to the basket at the beginning of the checkout process you will be able to access delivery cost and the delivery options that are available to you. There are set “standard” delivery days depending on your postcode, if these days are not convenient you have the option to select “other” day for delivery this includes same day, next day and weekend options. These are charged at a different rate to the standard delivery days.

Collection

We also offer collection from our premises if you would prefer. Collection is free of charge, but it does need to be arranged with our customer service team beforehand. Collection is available Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm (excluding bank holidays). Call our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 to arrange your collection slot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the Lomond Rotating Adjustable Stand Up Bed best suited for?

The Lomond Rotating Adjustable Stand Up Bed is ideal for people who can still weight bear but need assistance getting in and out of bed. It is particularly suitable for those looking to maintain their independence while reducing the effort involved in daily transfers. If you're unsure whether this bed is right for your mobility needs, our expert team can help you choose the most suitable option.

What is the benefit of buying the Lomond Rotating Stand Up Bed instead of a standard profiling bed?

While a standard profiling bed improves comfort and positioning, the Lomond also includes a powered rotating stand-up function. This helps you move from lying down to standing in a controlled sequence, making everyday transfers easier and potentially reducing the need for assistance from a carer.

Can I get in and out of the Lomond Rotating Stand Up Bed from either side?

No. The Lomond Rotating Adjustable Stand Up Bed rotates clockwise only, meaning transfers take place from the right-hand side of the bed. Before purchasing, it's important to ensure your bedroom layout allows enough space for right-hand access. Our team can discuss your room configuration and advise whether this bed is suitable.

What happens if there is a power cut while I'm using the bed?

The Lomond Rotating Adjustable Stand Up Bed features a built-in battery backup, allowing you to safely adjust the bed if there is a power outage. This provides added reassurance that you won't be left stranded in an uncomfortable position until the electricity is restored.

Is the Lomond Rotating Stand Up Bed a good option if I want to remain independent at home?

Yes. The bed has been designed to support unassisted transfers for users who are able to weight bear. By helping you move from lying down to standing with the touch of a button, it can make everyday routines easier and support independent living for longer.

Why is the Lomond Rotating Stand Up Bed considered a cost-effective choice?

The Lomond combines the key benefits of a profiling hospital bed with a powered rotating stand-up function at a competitive price point. For people who need both comfort and transfer assistance, it offers an excellent balance of functionality, independence and long-term value without the cost of some premium rotating bed models.

Can the Lomond Rotating Stand Up Bed help reduce the need for carer assistance?

For many users, yes. If you are able to stand and bear weight, the rotating stand-up function can make getting in and out of bed much easier without physical assistance.

Can I speak to an expert before purchasing the Lomond Rotating Adjustable Stand Up Bed?

Absolutely. Purchasing a rotating stand-up bed is an important investment, and we're here to help you make the right choice. Our experienced team can answer your questions call us today on 0800 111 6234.
