The Liberty II Dynamic Low Air Loss mattress; provides continuous low pressure for patients, including terminally ill and frail, considered to be very high risk of developing pressure sores

The Liberty II dynamic Low Air Loss mattress replacement is designed for patients considered to be up to a very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. It provides continuous low pressure. As well as providing effective pressure relief this system is particularly suitable for terminally ill and frail patients. Moreover, it aids the treatment of burns and lymphoedema.

A true Low Air Loss therapy system delivering constant low pressures for greater patient immersion and further increasing pressure reduction

This mattress replacement provides true Low Air Loss therapy. Constant low pressures deliver a gentle support surface for greater immersion. This allows for increased contact with the surface area of the skin, resulting in further pressure reduction. Additionally, this mattress also limits both warming of the skin and moisture accumulation. Therefore, it is ideal for those who need added protection against the damaging effects of excess moisture.

The Liberty II has a choice of therapies allowing medical staff to customise a care plan for the effect treatment and relief from pressure ulcers, oedema and reducing patient pain

Thanks to a choice of therapies the Liberty II enables medical staff to create a care plan customised to each patient. Its Pulsate mode intermittently reduces cell pressures by 40%. This improves blood flow and encourages lymph flow to help manage oedema and reduce pain. Furthermore, a built in alternating mode has variable cycle times. This provides pressure redistribution for the effect prevention and treatment of pressure sores.

A Low Air Loss mattress packed with features to enhance the care and comfort of each patient

The Liberty II is packed with features to enhance the care and comfort of each patient. Features include a soft quilted PU cover and a user-friendly digital control panel. The panel allows you to select appropriate therapies and adjust pressures using the soft and firm buttons to suit individual needs.

Using a cell-on-cell construction allows for an outstanding level of pressure relief from the Liberty II. The interconnected air cells yield to patient’s movements to help reduce friction and shearing. In addition, the system constantly monitors movements and re-adjusts to continually offer reduced pressure. Purchase yours today!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a Low Air Loss mattress or a standard alternating pressure mattress?

If the user has fragile skin, existing pressure ulcers, moisture-related skin damage or requires advanced pressure care, a Low Air Loss mattress may be the better option. The Liberty II Dynamic Low Air Loss Mattress provides continuous low pressure therapy alongside alternating pressure, helping to reduce pressure, heat and moisture while delivering a higher level of comfort for users with complex care needs.

What makes the Liberty II a true Low Air Loss mattress?

Unlike mattresses that simply include low air loss features, the Liberty II provides true Low Air Loss therapy by continuously delivering low air pressure across the mattress surface. This helps improve immersion, reduce heat and moisture build-up, and create a healthier environment for vulnerable skin while maintaining effective pressure redistribution.

Is the Liberty II Dynamic Low Air Loss Mattress suitable for palliative or end-of-life care?

Yes. The Liberty II has been designed to provide gentle, continuous pressure relief, making it well suited to people receiving palliative care or those who are frail and spend prolonged periods in bed. Its multiple therapy modes are designed to maximise comfort while helping to protect fragile skin and reduce discomfort.

Can the Liberty II help people with burns or lymphoedema?

Yes. The Liberty II offers therapy modes that can support people living with burns or lymphoedema. Its Pulsate mode encourages blood and lymphatic flow, while the true Low Air Loss system helps manage skin temperature and moisture, creating a more comfortable environment for users with complex clinical needs.

Why is moisture management important when choosing a pressure care mattress?

Excess heat and moisture can increase the risk of skin damage, particularly for people who spend extended periods in bed. The Liberty II continuously circulates air beneath the user, helping to reduce moisture accumulation and maintain a healthier skin microclimate. This can improve comfort while supporting effective pressure ulcer prevention.

Is the Liberty II a good choice for someone who remains in bed for most of the day?

Yes. The Liberty II is designed for people who spend long periods in bed and require continuous pressure redistribution. Its cell-on-cell construction, automatic pressure adjustment and Low Air Loss therapy work together to provide consistent support throughout the day and night while helping reduce pressure on vulnerable areas.

How does the Liberty II adapt if the user's position changes?

The Liberty II continuously monitors the user's movements and automatically adjusts the pressure within its air cells to maintain effective support. This helps ensure consistent pressure redistribution without requiring frequent manual adjustments from carers.

Is the Liberty II suitable for use in both homecare and professional care settings?

Yes. The Liberty II is suitable for use in private homes, hospices, care homes and hospitals. Its intuitive digital control panel allows therapy modes and comfort settings to be adjusted easily, making it suitable for both healthcare professionals and family carers.
