Liberty II Bariatric Dynamic Low Air Loss Mattress; Bariatric continuous True Low Air Loss pressure therapy

The Liberty II Bariatric Dynamic Low Air Loss Mattress is a bariatric mattress replacement system specially designed to provide continuous low pressure, for patients who are considered to be up to a very high risk of developing pressure sores. This type of mattress replacement system is particularly suitable for patients who are terminally ill and frail patients together with aiding the treatment of burns and lymphoedema. The Liberty II Bariatric can accommodate patients weighing up to 70 stone (450kg).

Constant low pressure for great patient immersion

This dynamic bariatric mattress provides true Low Air Loss therapy. The constant low pressure provides a gentle support surface for greater immersion, increasing the contact surface area of the skin to ensure further pressure reduction. Coupled with excellent microclimate control this mattress limits warming of the skin and prevents moisture accumulation, making it ideal for those who need extra protection against the damaging effects of excess moisture.

Choice of therapy settings for customised treatment and relief care plans

With a choice of therapies, the Liberty II Bariatric mattress allows for medical and nursing staff to create a customised care plan for each patient. Its variable pulsate mode intermittently reduces cell pressures by 40% with selectable cycles ranging from 1-120 minutes, this aids in improving blood and lymph flow to help manage oedema and reduce pain. Whereas the built-in alternating mode with variable cycle times provides pressure redistribution for the effective prevention and treatment of pressure sores.

Bariatric Low Air Loss mattress enhancing patient care and comfort

To address key comfort requirements the Liberty II Bariatric is packed with features to enhance the care and comfort of each patient. Its cell-on-cell construction allows for an outstanding level of pressure relief and the interconnected air cells yield to the patient’s movements to help reduce shear and friction. The system also constantly monitors movements and re-adjusts to continually offer reduced pressure. A user-friendly digital control panel allows you to select appropriate therapies or adjust pressures using soft and firm buttons to suit individuals needs.
