Homecare Hospital Bed (Purchase); Electrically powered adjustable back rest, leg rest & knee lift functions

Our standard homecare hospital bed is an electrically operated fully profiling bed. It comes complete with separately power operated adjustable back rest, leg rest and knee lift functions. These powered functions allow carer or user to position themselves in the bed with ease ensuring a comfortable position is found. Most importantly this profiling bed allows all the key functions of a hospital bed within the comfort of your own home.

Homecare hospital bed developed to meet care requirements

These homecare hospital beds have been developed to meet the needs of the user and carer in a number of different environments. The height adjustable function on this bed enables carers and nurses to attend to the user without bending and straining. This hospital bed goes above the recommended safe working height for carers.

Reducing the risk of injuries. Whether you are looking for something to use in the comfort of your own home, in a hospital setting or nursing care home application this profiling bed is the ideal solution.

Easy clean, anti-microbial removable head and footboards with adjustable metal side rails

This hospital bed comes with a variety of side rails, head & footboards options so you can find a set up to suit your situation. The advantage of the metal side rails and CIC winnea grey ends is that they are easy wipe clean and made from anti-microbial material, as used on hospital beds.

The head and footboards have safe rounded mouldings and come with rotating rubber bumpers to protect your walls if moving the bed. The head and foot boards can be easily removed for 360° access for care routines.

The bed can still be fully operated without the head and foot boards attached, this also allows you watch TV unobstructed and to interact socially with other people in the room. If you are unsure about any of these options please speak to a member of our team, by telephone, who will be more than happy to assist you.

Types of Delivery

Two delivery options are available for products purchased from us:

Standard Delivery – Your order will arrive with one of our delivery drivers between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), approximately 5-7 days after the order has been placed. You will be contacted by the office the day before your delivery is due to arrive with confirmation of a time slot.

It is important to note that with this type of delivery it is a “kerbside” delivery which means that the driver will unload your item(s) from the van but will not take the item into the property or set up the item. Some of the items can be very heavy and you may need to arrange assistance with moving and setting up the equipment once it has been delivered.

Our standard delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this may be available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

Engineered Delivery – An engineered delivery includes a fully trained delivery driver delivering your products and will set up/assemble your product along with demonstrating how to use it correctly. Finally, any packaging is taken away so you don’t have to worry about disposal or recycling.

Our engineered delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this maybe available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

Costs

There are two different costs associated with these types of deliveries:

Standard Delivery – Is free on all purchases above £40

Engineered Delivery – This cost is calculated based on the first part of the delivery postcode. By adding your chosen product to the basket at the beginning of the checkout process you will be able to access delivery cost and the delivery options that are available to you. There are set “standard” delivery days depending on your postcode, if these days are not convenient you have the option to select “other” day for delivery this includes same day, next day and weekend options. These are charged at a different rate to the standard delivery days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I buy a Homecare Hospital Bed instead of using a standard bed?

A Homecare Hospital Bed provides greater comfort, support and flexibility than a traditional bed. Unlike a standard bed, a profiling homecare bed allows sections such as the backrest, leg area and bed height to be adjusted using an electric handset, helping users find a more comfortable position while also supporting carers with day-to-day care tasks.

Who is a Homecare Hospital Bed suitable for?

A Homecare Hospital Bed is suitable for people who need additional support with mobility, positioning or daily care at home. It is commonly used by individuals recovering from illness or surgery, people with reduced mobility, or those who require longer-term care and assistance.

What features should I look for when buying a Homecare Hospital Bed?

When buying a Homecare Hospital Bed, consider features such as electric height adjustment, adjustable backrest and leg sections, safe working weight, mattress compatibility and whether additional accessories such as side rails are required. Profiling beds are designed to allow different sections of the mattress platform to be adjusted, helping improve comfort and positioning.

Can a Homecare Hospital Bed improve comfort for someone spending a lot of time in bed?

Yes. A Homecare Hospital Bed can help improve comfort by allowing the user to adjust their position throughout the day. The profiling functions can make activities such as sitting upright, reading, watching television or resting more comfortable compared with lying flat in a standard bed.

Should I buy a Homecare Hospital Bed for long-term care at home?

For people requiring ongoing support, purchasing a Homecare Hospital Bed can provide a practical long-term solution. Owning the bed means it is available whenever it is needed and allows you to choose a model that matches your specific requirements, including adjustability, comfort features and accessories.
