The Excel Roadster DX8 is a mid-sized 8mph scooter, meaning it can be driven on roads as well as pavements. The simple to use dashboard has a battery indicator, so you’ll never find you don’t know how much charge you’ve got left on your journeys out. Equipped with two 34Ah batteries, when fully charged this mobility scooter can travel for 20 miles. As such, you’re sure to be able to get into town or to meet friends with ease. The scooter has a maximum user weight of 136kg (21.41 stone) so is suitable for heavier users.
Multiple features included to make your journey easier
This scooter comes with a range of as-standard features to make your time using it as enjoyable as possible. A front shopping basket with a carry handle means you can easily go shopping without having to worry about carrying things home. Adjustable armrests and a swivel chair makes for an easy transfer from the scooter. The looped tiller allows for finger or thumb steering, so you won’t be leaning too far forward in order to steer. Ideal for those with limited dexterity. An attractive LED lighting system means you can see and be seen in poor weather conditions.

Several comfort features are included on top of the as-standard features. The tiller is angle adjustable to make it easier for you to drive. A non-slip foot mat is also provided to stop your feet slipping in wet conditions. Lastly, a comfortable Captain’s seat is provided with adjustable height and positioning, so making sure that you’re always comfortable no matter where you go or how long you’re in your new mobility scooter. Fleet Purchase Delivery Information
Standard Delivery – Our standard delivery option is free on all purchase orders over £40, your item(s) will arrive with one of our delivery drivers normally between the hours of 8am-6pm on working weekdays, approximately 5-7days after you have placed your order. The office will contact you the day before delivery by telephone to confirm your delivery slot.
Our standard delivery is a “pavement” delivery, this means the delivery driver will unload it from the van for you but will not take the item in to your property or set up the item. Please be aware that some of these items are heavy and you may need to arrange assistance to move or set up the equipment once delivered to you.
Standard delivery covers England and Wales only, other delivery areas may be available but 111 6234 to discuss other delivery areas.
Engineered Delivery – An engineered delivery covers for a fully-trained delivery driver to come along to your chosen delivery address and they will assemble/install your product plus demonstrate how to use it correctly. The cost for this service is calculated using the first part of the postcode for the delivery address. If you add your chosen product to your shopping cart and at the beginning of the checkout process you will be able to calculate this cost and see the delivery options available to you. You will have a choice of days for when you would like delivery. Depending on your postcode there are set “standard” delivery days, if these are not convenient then you may also have the option to select an “other” day delivery or collection including next day, same day and weekend options. These are charged at a different rate to the standard delivery days.
Engineered delivery is only available in England and Wales, other delivery areas may be available but these will need to be quoted on an individual basis. Please call our dedicated team on 0800 111 6234 to discuss other delivery areas.
New Purchase Delivery Information
Standard Delivery – Our standard delivery option is free on all purchase orders over £40, your item(s) will arrive boxed with a courier anytime between 8am-6pm on working weekdays, approximately 5-7days after you have placed your order. We will contact you the day before to let you know your item(s) is being shipped for delivery the following working day.
Our standard delivery is a “pavement” delivery, this means the delivery driver will unload it from the van for you but will not take the box in to your property or set up the item. Please be aware that some of these items are heavy and you may need to arrange assistance to move or unpack the box once delivered to you.
Standard delivery is available for UK Mainland, other delivery areas may be available but these will need to be quoted for on an individual basis. Please call out dedicated team on 0800 111 6234 to discuss other delivery areas.
Engineered Delivery – An engineered delivery covers for a fully-trained delivery driver to come along to your chosen deliver address and they will assemble/install your product plus demonstrate how to use it correctly. They will also remove any unnecessary packaging for disposal or recycling.
