Third, the continuous mattress surface improves comfort and reduces gaps during movement. In short, the Ascenda focuses on independence, dignity, and ease of use.
Tilt-in-Space Riser Bed for Safer Transfers
The tilt-in-space mechanism enhances the user’s sense of safety during position changes. Additionally, pillow clips keep cushions secure during movement. A wall protection bar is included to protect room surfaces. Moreover, the leg rest folds within the footprint of the bed. Consequently, no extra space is needed for operation.
Backlit Handset and One-Touch Entrance Exit Controls
The handset offers a fully intuitive interface for simple operation. Because, it is backlit, the handset is easy to use at night. In addition, a one-touch entrance and exit function makes getting in and out straightforward. Finally, a lockout option prevents unintended use and adds peace of mind for carers.
Adjustable Seat Depth Options
The seat depth is depth adjustable to 400mm, 450mm or 500 mm. This lets the bed be tailored to the user’s needs. As a result, comfort and posture support are improved. The continuous mattress surface also supports pressure distribution and a smoother transfer.
Independence at Home
The Ascenda is ideal for users who need support with transfers but wish to remain as independent as possible. Care teams will find the bed responsive and easy to manage. In addition, families will appreciate how the Ascenda can simplify daily care at home.
Space Saving Leg Rest and Protection
The leg rest folds neatly within the volume of the bed, so the footprint stays compact. Pillow clips and the continuous mattress surface keep bedding in place during movement. The wall protection bar prevents marks and scuffs. Altogether, these details make the Acenda practical for real homecare settings.

Types of Delivery
Two delivery options are available for products purchased from us:
Standard Delivery – Your order will arrive with one of our delivery drivers between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays), approximately 5-7 days after the order has been placed. You will be contacted by the office the day before your delivery is due to arrive with confirmation of a time slot.
It is important to note that with this type of delivery it is a “kerbside” delivery which means that the driver will unload your item(s) from the van but will not take the item into the property or set up the item. Some of the items can be very heavy and you may need to arrange assistance with moving and setting up the equipment once it has been delivered.
Our standard delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this may be available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.
Engineered Delivery – An engineered delivery includes a fully trained delivery driver delivering your products and will set up/assemble your product along with demonstrating how to use it correctly. Finally, any packaging is taken away so you don’t have to worry about disposal or recycling.
Our engineered delivery service only applies to England and Wales. Areas outside of this maybe available but would need to be discussed with our customer service team on 0800 111 6234 who will be able to provide a quote for this service.

There are two different costs associated with these types of deliveries:
Standard Delivery – Is free on all purchases above £40
Engineered Delivery – This cost is calculated based on the first part of the delivery postcode. By adding your chosen product to the basket at the beginning of the checkout process you will be able to access delivery cost and the delivery options that are available to you. These are charged at a different rate to the standard delivery days.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Accora Ascenda Riser Bed suitable for someone who struggles getting in and out of bed?
Yes. The Accora Ascenda Riser Bed has been designed specifically to make transfers easier for people who find moving between lying, sitting and standing difficult. Its rise function gently lifts the user into a more upright position, while integrated handles provide additional support during transfers. This can help users maintain greater independence and confidence when getting in and out of bed at home.
Can the Accora Ascenda Riser Bed help reduce the need for carer assistance?
The Accora Ascenda can help make everyday transfers easier, which may support users who want to maintain more independence at home. By assisting with the movement from lying to standing, the bed can reduce the level of physical support needed during some transfers. However, the level of assistance required will depend on each person's individual mobility needs.
What is the difference between a riser bed and a standard profiling homecare bed
A standard profiling homecare bed focuses on adjusting the sleeping position, such as raising the backrest or legs for comfort and support. A riser bed, such as the Accora Ascenda, is designed with an additional focus on helping users move from a lying position into a safer standing position. This makes it a particularly suitable option for customers who need extra support with transfers rather than only needing an adjustable sleeping surface.
Is the Accora Ascenda Riser Bed a good alternative to a traditional adjustable bed?
The Accora Ascenda offers benefits beyond a traditional adjustable bed because it has been designed around care and mobility needs. Alongside adjustable positioning for comfort, it includes a rise function and support handles to assist with transfers. This makes it a better option for customers who require additional help with mobility, rather than simply wanting an adjustable bed for comfort.
Who should consider buying an Accora Ascenda Riser Bed?
The Accora Ascenda Riser Bed is ideal for people who want to remain as independent as possible at home but need extra support when transferring in and out of bed. It is particularly suited to users with reduced mobility, those who struggle to stand from a seated position, or anyone looking for a homecare bed that supports both comfort and independence.
Is the Accora Ascenda Riser Bed suitable for long-term use at home?
Yes. The Accora Ascenda Riser Bed is designed as a long-term homecare solution for users who need ongoing support with transfers and positioning. Its combination of comfort features, adjustability and independence-focused design makes it suitable for customers who want a bed that can continue supporting their needs over time.
